As 2025 approaches its summer season, Astral Records unveils Part IV of their ‘Momentum’ series. Following on from their highly stylized brand of melodic house and techno, the label continues to push the boundaries of this burgeoning genre, focusing on its innovative aspects, while never losing sight of the cosmic qualities that has made the sound so appealing to many. With an emphasis on melody, emotion and the dancefloor, Astral Records now unveils Part IV of their beloved ‘Momentum’ series, featuring exclusive new music from (in order of appearance) Apex Sound, Cyantist & Rob Hes, Recuero, Kadhem, I.AM and LowCree.
Selection one finds Apex Sound, making his label debut with ‘Visions’. Hailing from the Netherlands, Apex Sound is an emerging talent within the electronic spectrum. The Dutch artist arrives on Astral with a cohesive sound that often shares the creative space between deep progressive, techno and modern melodic techno styles. A short but meticulous discography is highlighted by releases via Addictive Sounds, OHM Deep State and Ultraviolet Music, well received projects which have earned play and support from John 00 Fleming, Markus Schulz and Shane54 & Omnia. His much-anticipated Astral debut gets the fourth installment of ‘Momentum’ underway with a dreamy breakbeat cut which excels on its use of profound emotional narratives and cinematic qualities.
The release concludes with LowCree making his label debut with ‘Afterlove’. Hailing from Mexico, Erick Diego aka LowCree has emerged from his country’s burgeoning electronic music scene with a unique blend of Electro and Melodic House and Techno, in turn earning him releases via Black Turtle Records, Prosoul Records and Progressive Vibes Light. Now set to continue his ascent, LowCree embarks on the most important release of his career, making his Astral Records debut with the nostalgic, trance-inspired sounds of ‘Afterlove’.
